Sideburn Slim - Boogie Chillen' & Highway 61

Scarce & wild version of the classic Boogie Chillun. Super Raw & Primitive Blues Bopper from Detroit. This record recently gained popularity with DJ's after getting comp'd on the latest Greasy Rock'N'Roll Lp. The flip is great too!.

Ok, it's not really a blues 45, it's not that scarce but it is a very frantic version of Boogie Chillen'.
Highway 61 is the B side and it's written by Adam Standfel. With bit of Googling I found a DJ who is also in the Party Stompers from Detroit called Adam Stanfel. A bit of a coincidence .. so my uneducated guess is that Sideburn Slim is  Adam Stanfel .

Just came across your excellent blog. This is what blogging is all about, posting rare groovy stuff. Love the singles you're sharing. Often the albums have a lot of filler but the singles are/ were a statement of intent by the artiste.
Lovely warm vinyl sounds too (without the scratches) Keep posting those ole 45s!!
