I have 3 Hop Wilson albums in my master lists:

Blues With Friends At Goldband
Houston Ghetto Blues (1960-1961)
Hop Wilson & His Buddies - Steel Guitar Flash

Let me know if you want any of these.

Cheers,

Bob Mac

Just in case anyone gets confused the Big Walter on this album is not Walter Horton but Big Walter Price (The Thunderbird) one of his tracks here "My Tears" features blistering guitar by the then relatively unknown Albert Collins.

@ Bob Mac,

The first 2 albums have been posted in the past and I'll get around to reposting them soon.
Steel Guitar Flash would be greatly appreciated.

I'll dig it out Xyros and check the bitrate, let you know soon.

Sorry Xyros it's low bitrate 128kbps, I know you only like the higher bitrates.

A lot of the early stuff I was collecting in MP3 is lower bitrate as I was backing up to CD, then to DVD. These days I use 500gig and 1 Terabyte externals so file sizes are no longer an issue.

No problem, it turn up one day. I've also got a ton of mp3's that are at 128 or lower. Back at the end of the 90's I was glad to get a rip at 128. Times have changed.

Hi, Xyros

I've been picking up gems from your blog for years (and remembering, at least some of the time, to comment with my thanks), but have had to return to re-download several things which I lost recently following a hardware failure. For which my grateful thanks again.

I would dearly love to get this one back - Houston Ghetto Blues, but the Zippy link draws a blank. Any chance? Many thanks and all good wishes.

What can I say? Many, many thanks for responding so quickly with this absolute gem. Wilson and Bonner are two long-time favourites.

All best wishes...

Xyros, thanks for this LP. I have it but never digitized it. For me a very nice part is the Albert Collins solo.(Take it all away to London)

Maybe a double request on this one but I was not sure, hope you can.
