thanks for posting the music and biography. my mom and I were talking about Lazy Bill just the other day. We lived across the street from him back in the mid 1970's in Minneapolis (I was only about 5-6 yrs old). My mom would sit on the front steps and listen to him play until one day he invited her over to hang out and listen. He played on my grandmas piano. just a cool memory. Wish he were around now. I appreciate him and music more now than when I was 6.

Wow, you're a lucky person to have heard Lazy Bill in such a close setting. I never got to see him but his music is honest, down to earth and he has one of the friendlist faces around.
Glad you liked the lp's also.

Jeff Titon in 1968 gave a shot in the arm to Lucas's career when he recorded him, releasing two LPs (1969 & 1970) of a very "home-made" variety.

Ten years ago I scanned these for Stefan Wirz and can be viewed here

http://www.wirz.de/music/lucasfrm.htm

Clicking on the image of the second LP reveals that the sleeve is the same as the first but with LP2 details pasted over what had previously been LP1 sleeve. Are you still with me?
