L.C. Robinson - House Cleanin' Blues

L.C. 'Good Rockin' Robinson [was] one half of the great Robinson Brothers (along with harp-blowing- older bro A.C.) and the most electric performer on the West Coast blues scene for 25 years. . . One thing that separated L.C. from other blues men was that he was a stunning multi-instrumentalist. Besides playing guitar and blues fiddle, L.C. was also the master of the lap-steel guitar. . . absolutely mandatory listening for all fans of real blues.
I just received this lp and it was a real ear-opener for me. It's one lp that won't be stuck away for some time.

First I'd like to thank you for the many gems you have posted here. Second, I'd like to congratulate for the superior sound quality of your LP tarnsfers. If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to know what cartridge / turntable / phono preamp / line preamp / audio card / cleaning processing you are using. Thank you !

Hi rebo,
believe it or not I'm using a cheap cartridge that cost $35, a 15 year old turntable that cost at the most $150 then, a TerraTec phono preamp ( about $50) connecting the turntable directly to the pc and as software MAGIX Audio Cleaning 14(?). Records are cleaned first using an Okki Nokki cleaner.

...oh man, this sure got that thing that instructs that part of the brain that releases that thing that makes, and I say this in all sincerity, this down and dirty, dog eat little dog and then go shit on his sad little dog grave modern life we share, a bit more bearable...

Xyros, thanks for the info and apologies for being late. Hard to believe you are getting so much sonic perfection in such a cheap way.Great. Congrat once again for your excellent taste which actually mirrors mine (!) Must tell you I have the LPs so far but I download yours and then make CDRs 'cause your sound so clean and so good !!! The funny thing is that I play mine through a 600 $ cartridge !!! And prefer yours...
