Thanks Xyros, I never knew there was a Part Two album as well.

@ Bob Mac, I don't think there is a Part one. Never seen it listed or for sale.

@Xyros. Seems there's another edition/issue of this with same tracks but just called "Phil Upchurch - You Can't Sit Down" without any Part Two on the cover.

So when I saw the one you've just posted I presumed there were Pts 1 & Pts 2, but there isn't, there's only the one album, which I now have 2 copies of...lol

@ Bob Mac, I see that there is also a Japanese cd with 2 bonus tracks called ' You can't sit down" . Why the LP has Part Two added to it is anyones guess.

This LP is not an album session. In fact it gathers several Phil Upchurch 45s previously issued, particularly You can't sit down Parts I & II (United Artists UA 1601).
Phil Upchurch, g; Mac Johnson, tpt; David Brooks, t-sax; Cornell Mudrow, og; bs; Joe Hoddricks, dms. New Orleans, La. 1960

I have the album and it is as shown – with PART TWO. There are photo-shopped versions on Google without the 'Part 2'. It's titled that way because “You Can't Sit Down (Part II)” was the side that charted in 1961.
“You Can't Sit Down – Parts 1 & 2” was cut in New Orleans in 1960 with overdubbing in Chicago before issue in 1961 on Boyd. There were three Boyd singles of the tune (with different numbers), however, UA 1601 was a 1962 reissue AFTER this LP. Drummers name is probably Haddrick but usually given as Hoddrick (never seen Hoddricks before). The other sides were all cut in Chicago specifically for this album. There are only two 45s here - the hit coupling and UA 355 which seems to be ultra rare.

Thank you Gerard and Daddy Cool for the extra info on the LP. Now does anyone have Phil Upchurch's 2nd Lp on United Artists "The Big dance Hits" they can share?
