Many thanks go to Gerard Herzhaft a.k.a Blue Eye for sharing the complete Lacy Gibson. Gerard has upgraded the sound of the " I Wish I had A Wishing Ring" LP and added Lacy's various early singles and tracks.

Tx Gérard and Xyros for this sharing. Did he play with Sun Ra in this period, or was that at a later time?
Thank you very much Gerard & Xyros. Sounds like hours of fun.
Thanks to you both for this
Lacy was in fact Sun Ra's brother in law, that's why Sun Ra produced two 45s and an LP with Lacy. His backing band is most probably at least partly of Sun Ra's "Orkestra" (sic). The exact recording date of the "Wishing ring" LP is uncertain. Blues Discography gives 1977 which is very unlikely. Some other sources say 1971. But I wonder if the two 45s and the LP don't come from the same sessions (around 1967-70).... This post doesn't have the last Black Magic LP/CD which is currently available.
wonderful!!
big thanks to Gerhard & xyros
Jackpot!!!! Thanks so much.
Thanks Gérard and Xyros for this and I like the upgraded sound of the LP!
Outstanding, this is one I've been looking forward to for some time now. Big thanks to Gerard and Xyros.
Wonderful, thank you so much Gérard and Xyros you made my day, week or at least 2 weeks...
Tx for all the info Gérard.
To be complete : if my imformations are complete and true, the session from number two to number 5 was recording in 68 on the Saturn label of Sun Ra with the Sun Ra Arkestra ! Can you believe it ? Great session !
Info are coming from : Sun Ra, the Singles CD2, Evidence – ECD 22164-2, 1996.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks for this interesting post!
Thanks Christophe for those adds to Lacy's discography. Blues Discography gives 1977 for the LP which is obviously wrong. Others give 1971. But 1968 seems the most adequate date!
Thanks for upgrade the Saturn Lp.
Cheers!.
Many Thanks for you. Don't ask me is one of the last "old blog", to regularly share authentic blues. After the demise of Blue Eye, and Uncle Gil you're one of the best survivor specialized in blues (with BlueDragon)
Your choice of oldies and very rare Lp (& so) is always well felt & received by blues aficionados. We prefer to no't mention the death of HGR.
Good luck
Wow, thank you all for your comments on Blue Eyes Lacy Gibson posting. Lacy's later cd on Black Magic is worth while searching for and is not very expensive, say cheap, to buy.
great , thank you
Thank you, Gerard and Xyros, for this fine and enjoyable collection!
Thanks Xyros for this very good album. An even bigger thank you, to Gerard for putting it together.
