This looks very interesting! Thanks man!
Thanks Xyros & KJ for this one.
Thanks for this rare 1997 record. Big Babe Martin (vcl/g) and the Chump Change have been active since the 1980's in Central Missouri . If I'm right, I remember watching a show with Big Babe around 1985 at Columbia Missouri State University and he and his band were great;
"Big Babe" Martin was born John Martin at Columbia (Mo) 29 June 1951. He played guitar and sang with his bands composed almost exclusively of local musicians all around Central Missouri and also up to Canada. With a great reputation and a wide repertoire, Big Babe and his band opened for almost all touring acts in the area. John Martin died last year 8 November 2018, almost unknown outside Missouri. After looking on my old vaults, I've found the leaflet of the Big Babe's concert I attended at Missouri State University at Columbia where I was working for a while in fall 1985. During the weeks in Missouri, I had the opportunity to hear many good or excellent African-American bluesmen and folk singers, all hitherto unknown to me. Several old timers country blues musicians were still playing in the countryside around. Unfortunately, this area has been almost entirely overlooked by blues researchers.
