This good CD is puzzling me a bit. Until this opus, I had a couple of recordings by Milwaukee Slim and by two different artists, based apparently in the same town of Milwaukee. One Milwaukee Slim is Angelo Chambers, "The Singing Bus Driver", a good singer and guitar player. The other Milwaukee Slim is Silas McClatcher and is without doubt the same Slim that is featured here but this time under the name of Jimmy Davis! In his previous CD, Milwaukee Slim is reprtedly playing rhythm guitar with Rick Gerek blowing the harmonica. In this one, Slim is said playing the harmonica with a tone similar to my ears to Rick Gerek's style... Would anyone have any clue about that?

taken from https://www.folklib.net/index/wis_session_df.shtml#Davis,Jm. Davis, Jimmy "Blues Harp" (harmonica) - (member: The Midwest Blues All-Stars, Terry Frank and Bone Deluxe) [city?]
Sam McCue is the same person who played with the Everly Brothers. The one at the back with the hat? see:https://books.google.nl/books?id=baF2CQAAQBAJ&pg=PT21&lpg=PT21&dq=sam+mccue+blues&source=bl&ots=VTQGuVeICy&sig=ACfU3U3BFt5O3UWldiI4QkSKWnMg1k5Afw&hl=nl&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiW44aCqpLpAhVI3aQKHZvtDyEQ6AEwB3oECAkQAQ#v=onepage&q=sam%20mccue%20blues&f=false
But as to your original question Gerard I have no idea.

Thanks Xyros. Yes I have seen the back cover of teh post. The previous CD by Milwaukee Slim (named clearly Silas McClutcher) is obviously by the same artist with several same band members, same vocals... I don't understand how Silas McClutcher has become Jimmy Davis? And why? And how he wasn't playing harp a couple of years before and then plays a very proficient harp, extremely similar to Rick Gerek's style who is a well known harp player from the Midwest and who recorded with several blues band and John Brim among others.

@muddyw123: Thanks. But this Milwaukee Slim is Angelo Chambers "the Singing bues driver" a very different man than the Milwaukee Slim on this set who is either Slim McClutcher or Jimmy Davis?

Hello-

I played bass with the Midwest Blues Allstars from 2006-2009. I played on the recording "Covered Up", released in 2009.

Silas, Angelo and Jimmie are definitely three different individuals.
