That's 35 years ago ... gosh, how time's flying! There was still quite a few authentic bluesmen touring Europe in those days. I've been lucky to see lotsa 'em.
I was talking with some Amercian guys recently - my age, late fifties - and I realised I had seen more "blues legends" in Europe (Belgium / Holland / UK) in my youth than they did in the States. In a way, we were the lucky ones!

Those where the days with Blues Estaffete in Utrecht and more or less non-stop music all weekend. Paradiso had had some good concerts with Clifton Chenier, Mighty Joe Young, Dr. Ross and many more. De Bajes in Amstelveen with a small audience. I remember J.B. Hutto walking off the stage and out the door still playing and coming back again to blow us away.
We were lucky.

really interesting album on so many levels. If you like fucked up sloppy blues that's authentic and soulful, like I do, then you'll have a blast from this...really interesting album on so many levels...out of this world slide and harmonica....live!
