Johnny waxed this one when touring France in 1972 alongside Dusty Brown, Luther Johnson (he plays the second guitar there), Sonny Thompson, Emmett Sutton and Bill Warren. Johnny was then at the peak of his considerable talents and he was a total winner wherever he played. Alongside this solo LP, Shines recorded also a session with the band which is very very interesting but unoftunately still lay unissued!

Thank you Gerard for sharing the Johnny Shines unissued tracks and I'm sure there are many more people who'll enjoy them as much as I will.
