Never seen this Xyros. Thank you.
Thanks Xyros. I was surprised that I didn't already have this, it's not listed on my collection lists, and I thought I had everything by Muddy. So I was thinking perhaps this has been issued under another title? Anyway, I took a copy...thanks again.
Kansas City jam is very noteworthy! Thank you Xyros.
Thank you very much
This was also a new for me. According to Discogs it was also released as " Muddy Waters" on LRC in the US.
Found it on Usenet in Flac to fill this request. Anyone still use Usenet?
NMR & Xyros,
jazz 'n' blues - bound to be interesting;
good mix of Dizzy's & Muddy's influencings
to improvisings together, right?
I'm eager to put this gig to listening.
Thanks for the chance to do so.
- Jay from the North.
Basic exploitation of a big name artist to push a record.
In the end, SPOILER ALERT:
Dizzy sits in on 1 tune, and isn't very stalwart either, imho...
Thing is, the record didn't need the phony hype either, it can stand on it's own.
But for those looking for Dizzy truly appearing in an ensemble performance this ain't it.
Kudos for posting this part of history.
My guess is that Dizzy happened to stop in the club and got called up for a tune, and presto, Muddy Waters Blues Band FEATURING Dizzy Gillespie. Oh well...
Lots of great music here. Will give this a listen for sure thanks.
This is my first visit here, unfortunately. I hadn't realized what a treasure chest it is, and appear to be too late for this gem. Is there a chance of a re-post? Many thanks.
@ howlingwilf, you missed the link by 1 day. I'll post a new link for you soon.
