Many thanks for sharing this rarity and I think you've made Gerards year already.

A lot of thanks to Brian Pounders and Xyros for this extremely hard to get (or at a too much expensive price) Robert Pete Williams LP of early Harry Oster recordings. For some reasons that I can't understand, Arhoolie reissued an album of the same name but minus four tracks. So, once again, many thanks, guys!
Brian Pounders and Xyros: Thanks from me too, I have the Arhoolie album, so it's great to get this original with the extra tracks.
Mine too!!! Shouted.
Mr Pounders, is there any end to your collection. Thank you a hundred times. I have the Arhoolie album but was hoping beyond hope for this one.
Bottleneck
Any possibility of getting this on MP3 instead of FLAC? Thanks!
Thank you Mr. Pounders and Xyros for this post. I have been reticent to previously comment on this great blog because, although I have been following it for several years and love the blues, I feel them in gut when I listen, rather than understand the composition of the music or all the artists you post. Your blog, Mr. Herzhaft's, and Marc's provide me with a free education for which I am very grateful. More importantly, you all are helping to keep the history and artists of the genre from being forgotten.
I'm old enough to remember the blues revival of the 1960s and early 1970s; however, fifty years later I am more grateful for and discerning about the older artists and recordings than I was all those years ago and your blog is a great benefit for acquainting me with the music of many artists about whom I have only read. Again, thank for the effort you and your other contributors expend in maintaining this blog; for me, it continuosly provides much joy and, too, the excitement of discovery.
@ Feiimid O'Broin, it's been some time since you commented but that's ok, not a must here. Always enjoy your comments as I have to read them at least 3 times to figure out what's going on. That's good for my English which is going downhill at a steady pace.
The blogs you mentioned are very important ones that I also visit daily as some of the Soul/New Orleans sites. What I like about Gerard's site is his choice of artists and the depth and information that you won't find anywhere else. Marcs site is perfect for acquiring complete collections of labels or artists. This blog is like standing in a record shop, shutting your eyes and picking whatever is around to play, absolutely no system.
Thanks for your nice praises on me, Xyros and Feilimid! Like old Peetie Wheatstraw used to say: "Send me flowers while I'm living so I can smell them".... Best!
2 David, mp3 version is now online for you
Can I add my thanks to this elusive and great post!
Wonderful, thank you very much! I didn't even know these missing tracks existed!
A million thanks!
Thank you so much! I always wondered if those missing songs will one day turn up, because Robert Pete Williams is and was unique in his way. Somehow it feels like Christmas and Easter on day, because so many rare music shared here recently. He is ,together with Mississippi John Hurt & Nehemiah ''Skip'' Curtis James (to name only few), one of my most admired and loved artists.
Someone have a "Angola Special" lyrics trabscriton? Thanks
