I saw Willie several times at Blue Chicago in the late 90's. Always a great show. I hope the scene there is still the same, but people like him will be missed.
...bag on head dude nice to see you back and with some kick ass blues jewels...this Willie Kent is a knock out...the homeboy can sing...solid...as Linc Hayes used to say...and what a back story....life...as they say...is a bitch...
I don't know why but I always tend to get more interest in musicians that have something in common with my birthday.(Willie Kent born 17 years before me, Big Maceo Merriweather passing away the day before I was born.) So thanks for this.
Since the subject was brought up, I'm glad that you can find time to repost some of these albums, since this site is a repository of rare and obscure and we all can't be at the right place at the right time!
