Almost all those Hopkins sides were also published as 45s for the southern African-American juke box market. I've had the opportunity to stay quite a long time in those areas during the late 70's and I can testify that, although most of these 45's were issued ten years ago, a lot of them were still played everywhere on the juke boxes all over the South. Lightnin' was hugely popular among the Southern Blacks and I'm pretty sure he sold a tremendous amount of records over there that were certainly not included in the "Top 40's" Billboard and such because they were sold on small record shops and bazars and not Tower Records etc...
