Aw man, CoCo. Great musician and one of the ultumate local NO characters. He's missed dearly in NO. Was a long time fixture on Frenchman St., and died doing what he loved. had finished s et and was on break when he went outside the club and took a seat on a bench and died on teh spot of a heart attack. This is a damn strong record,although Spiritland remains his greatest work. Never forget the year they had him play Jazz fest (2008), they gave him the earliest spot (11 am) on a weekday. Everyone was ragging him about whether he would wake up in time for the gig. He was more than awake - one of the greatest shows I've ever witnessed. Thanks for posting this one Xyros and Kansas Joe!
