Lately I've been listening and buying Soul, and funk and I've got to thank Imnokid for his requests which steer me in directions I'd would've never gone.

@Xyros: yeah I'm the same, been listening to a lot of Soul & Funk music that I had very little interest in previously. I think we've pretty well exhausted the blues/R&B by now so it's natural that our interests spread out a bit further into other branches of black music.
Wow - this is fantastic! Many of the songs from this recording were staples at Eddie's gigs in NO during his later years. Brings back a ton of great memories. Many, many thanks Xyros!
Fine music from the prolific Eddie Bo. Thanks!
Hi!
Always LUV'ed Soul/Funk sound & have been listening to "Protest Soul" songs lately. Good to see you're expanding your "musical horizons." Wiling to assist if required.
Usually will research unknown material & found this. If anyone is uncertain about D/L'ing this (was too until read this) check out Eddie's comments here (scroll down a bit) :

Cheers!
Ciao! For now.

Glad to have turned you on to some Funk and Soul music.
After this one, all someone needs to do is find The Other Side Of Eddie Bo and that will complete his LPs/CDs for me. I think I'm still missing a few 45s, but not many.
Thanx for the wonderful site. The internet is chock full of people sharing re-issued CDs and LPs, but this is still my favorite, as most of what is here is not readily available on the web, especially odd ball blues albums.
Xyros:
Thanks a lot for even more Eddie Bo.
@ Imnokid, I'm not that far into collecting an artist but it's the hunt for that missing item that is all the fun for me.
If you have Eddie Bo – Watch For The Coming would it be possible to share it with me or the blog? I doubt if I'll ever find it at a reasonable price.
Xyros - I have Watch for the Coming. I can poat a link in these comments later today, or if you would prefer, can email, Let me know.
2 pmac, if you could post the link in the commments that would be great. Is it alright to post on the blog?
@ pmac, many thanks. Giving it a quick listen now and it sounds good. I'll post it next week.
Glad to finally offer some small payback for all of the great music I have obtained from your site.
pmac beat me to it. There is no such thing as a bad Eddie Bo album.
@ imnokid and pmac, I've been listening to the LP and it's far better than I had hoped for. Possibly better than some of the cd's I've heard and more commercial with a female vocalist (Toni "T" ?) helping out. Great stuff and glad to have it.
Here's a greal blog post about Eddie and the pseudonyms he recorded under, and the various labels he created. Some of the embedded links still work, too.

Thank you pmac for the link.
