Don't Ask Me ... I Don’t Know has been around now for about 14 years posting Blues LP’s and CD’s and whatever else I feel like.
Your help in filling requests or with LP/CD rips are always very welcome and greatly appreciated. Enjoy the music but don't forget to support the artists and labels.
Am I alone to encounter errors while downloading from Kraken ?? Just before ending, the DL stops (network error-unreachable Server (??)) and I can't resume .... This occurs almost 1 on 2 DL and I have to switch to Zippy everytime !!
Hi Chris, I've only had one visitor complain that Kraken wouldn't complete the d/l so far. Over at TZ there have also been a couple of complaints also. One visitor suggests just keep on trying and it then download. My problem is that I want to use a fileserver that has very few limitations for me, the downloader and is free. Zippy was perfect until it was blocked in a lot countries and Kraken seems to solve this problem until now. I've tried Mega but the free storage space is to low. So it's a combination of Zippy and Kraken I'm afraid.
Re Kraken: my experience is Kraken is fast and reliable with small d/ls but I have heaps of trouble with the large d/ls. If it's just one album in 320, then no probs. But when someone packs 3 or 4 CDs in one folder and the size gets around 300-400mbs then Kraken craps out all the time and I have to try again and again until eventually the d/l completes. Not a big problem at the moment as I have unlimited data but if I was in Aust with a monthly limit then I'd have to pass on large Kraken d/ls as I'd risk losing too much data.
I also have had many problems downloading with kraken. IF you keep bashing away at it then after MANY attempts you can be lucky. But it's a right pain to get to the end of a DL only to be denied for the umpteenth time. It's funny cos' it only seems to be certain files that do it, others DL no probs. Zippyshare was a problem for me being based in the UK till I installed opera It has a free built in VPN. No Problems now. cheers for a great blog Bob
