Thanks, guys!
Thanks Xyros & KJ.
Thanks. This album is a reissue of the original Soul in the beginning published in 1969. All Roy Ames' sessions that have been reissued in other CDs several times. In 1969, when I bought the LP, all those were hitherto unissued. Quite intrigued, I contacted Roy Ames - the one who discovered and first recorded Johnny Winter - who at that time was serving several years in a Texas penitentiary. He told me a lot of things about those artists (Bizor, Hopkins, Bonner...), the relationships he had with them, the projects he had when he would be freed (he had hours of unissued tapes that would in part pop up on CDs later on Collectables. Unfortunately, some tapes have never been issued as CDs like an excellent late Lil'Son Jackson album with a small band.

Thank you Gerard for all the info. The Lil' Son Jackson tapes would be a treat to hear one day.
Yes, I thought it looked familiar, a reissue of the Soul In The Beginning LP.
