Yep Marc Stone is a dear friend of mine. Fantastic blues guitarist, who played with Bo for a few years. Marc is originally from NYC, but has lived in NO for a long time. He has several albums out under his own name, and plays 2-3 gigs weekly in NO. He and John Mooney play an acoustic duo gig regularly. Marc also has a Bo tribute band, the New Soul Finders that features the vocal talents of Ms. Marilyn Barbarin who actually sang with Bo when she was in her teens (and appeared on several of Bo's early 45s). Rob Reiner, upon hearing Marc perform at a gig in NO, quipped: "You're like Mike Bloomfield without the heroin addiction!"
Marilyn is stupendous. My wife and her are very good friends. She and the New Soul Finders recently went into a recording studio, so there should be some new tunes out soon.
Xyros, thank You for the upgrade repost of Nine Yards of Funk. Your blog is indeed appreciated; thanks for the vast amount of work You have put into this wonderful site during years. Please take care of yourself; wishing everything good for You! - Jay from the North.

@ pmac, thought you might like this one. Do you know anything about the band members who also signed the cover?

More Eddie Bo - fantastic. Thanks for posting.
I checked Youtube and Marc Stone has some good videos online with both groups. The ones with Ms. Marilyn Barbarin I found to be the most enjoyable.
Very cool, big thanks!

Looks great. Thank you, never saw this one before!
