FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT MY FRIEND.MANY THANKS.
Nice one, Xyros. Guy was a real chameleon. Had the one big hit, You Talk Too Much, and was Juliard trained. Claimed to have written several songs (Iko, Iko amongst others) and sued to get royalties. Court threw out his claims, finding that he fraudulently tried to steal the songs from their original writers (in the case of Iko, a group that he managed,The Dixie Cups). Afterwards, he founded an agency that was a keen protector of the rights of older RnB acts.
Thank you Xyros.
Thank you pmac for your bits of obscure info on NO artists. I like that.
Makes you wonder though, if he was keen to protect the rights of artists he was perhaps ripped off also in the past.
Yeah, Xyros. Maybe it was his way of being remorseful?Maybe it was still a scam?!? Guy never really did much even in NO outside of that one song. The Dixie Cops were/are beloved here, so he crossed a line that he could not step back over.
Hi, could you reup, thanks
