Don't Ask Me ... I Don’t Know has been around now for about 14 years posting Blues LP’s and CD’s and whatever else I feel like.
Your help in filling requests or with LP/CD rips are always very welcome and greatly appreciated. Enjoy the music but don't forget to support the artists and labels.
I would like to start this off by saying: EVERYBODY WHO LOVES NASTY GUITAR NEEDS TO HAVE THIS!
Thanx so much for posting this. I have a personal rip that I made years ago that had one or 2 skips in it and it always bugs me when I play it. In doing research over the years, I found out that the session guitarist was Charlie Brown.
The songs I Gotta Go, Night Time Is The Right Time, Forgive Me Girl, and Long Time have guitar that will kill you. ESPECIALLY Forgive Me Girl. Before the internet age, I sold SEVERAL copies of this album for $100. at record shows. I would play one of these songs on my player, and inevitably someone came over and said "who is THAT?!" and then bought it.
Of course, like all "rare" albums these days, the internet has increased availability and decreased value. But trust me, get this rip and play it fucking LOUD!!!!!!!
FYI, the album was recorded in NYC on September 1969. Leo Morris aka Idris Muhammed on drums Funky noted jazz bassist Jimmy Lewis on bass Herb Rooney on piano Michael Jason on harmonica Charlie Brown on guitar
